Leadership Randolph

The Elkins-Randolph County Chamber is proud to announce the Leadership Randolph Class of 2024.  This initiative seeks to “develop and prepare leaders to move Randolph County forward.”

The Chamber is grateful to the sponsors of Leadership Randolph that includes the City of Elkins, Citizens Bank of WV, Davis Trust Co., Mountaineer Insurance, the Randolph County Development Authority, Common Door, Davis & Elkins College, Davis Health System, Vandevander and Nypl CPAs, the Randolph County Housing Authority, and Woodlands Development & Lending.

Topics for the nine monthly sessions are Tourism, Economic Development, Housing, Healthcare, Education & Youth, Workforce & Hardwood Manufacturing, Government, Nonprofits & Volunteerism, and Agriculture.  The program will conclude with a dinner and completion ceremony.

Leadership Randolph is managed by graduates of Leadership West Virginia residing in Randolph County and the Elkins-Randolph County Chamber.  These “ambassadors” worked during the spring of 2022 to create the program’s mission and curriculum.  They were also given the daunting task of overseeing the class selection process.  There were a large number of applicants, and the group is pleased to announce the final twelve members of the Leadership Randolph Class of 2023Lisa Wood, Executive Director of the Chamber, stated, “The Chamber and the Leadership Randolph ambassadors are excited to announce our first class.  We feel they represent a diverse group of professionals from our community.  The ambassadors team will work to develop and prepare these leaders to move Randolph County forward.  Congratulations to them and thank you to all of this year’s applicants.”

Chamber Spotlight Business of the Month

Mountain Gymnastics & Central Supply CO

The Elkins-Randolph County Chamber is pleased to announce its two Spotlight Businesses of the Month for March 2024, Central Supply & Mountain Gymnastics Academy.

Mountain Gymnastics Academy opened in in 2019 in a 15,000 square foot state-of-the-art gymnasium, one of the largest gymnastics facilities in West Virginia. At MGA, they strive to provide a safe and positive learning environment where every gymnast can reach their full potential and develop a lifelong love for the sport. They are dedicated to helping each gymnast reach their goals, both in and out of the gym.

Central Supply Co is located at 822 Old Rte 219, Elkins, WV 26241. Central Supply Company of WV began operating in Clarksburg, WV in 1915. At that time, they sold grain, feed, hay, buggy parts, sand and stone, cement and other like items necessary to the agricultural and building trades. The Clarksburg plant saw four generations of family ownership. The early 2000's saw Central's expansion into Elkins, WV and the Randolph County area. Our computerized batching facility just off of Rt. 33 services Elkins, Buckhannon, Philippi, Parsons, Canaan Valley, Snowshoe, Marlinton, and Petersburg. Our full range of builders' supplies is offered as well.

This recognition is a testament to all the hard work, dedication, and outstanding contributions made to our community. Please be sure to stop in both Central Supply for all your concreate material needs and Mountain Gymnastics to get your little ones enrolled in some private lessons or classes but be quick spots are filling up!
